Places To Visit In Animal Crossing
The Post Office
The post office is run by Pelly and is at the right-side desk at the Town Hall, with a red mat in front of it. In addition to sending out letters you have written to your friends and storing and organising received letters that you would like to keep, you can deposit or withdraw funds from your personal savings account here and make payments towards your debt to Tom Nook.
Mail a Letter
If you want to mail a letter that you have written, you need to give it to Pelly or Phyllis at the post office. They will make sure that Pete, the mail pelican delivers it.
Save a Letter
If you have piled up a bunch of letters from your friends and neighbours, you can store and organise them at the post office. This will keep you from having to stash them at your own house.
Access Your Account
You can hold only a limited number of bells before you will need money bags to hold all your loot, so at some point you will want to set up a savings account at the Post Office. Besides creating a nest egg, you will get nice prizes for keeping certain minimum amounts in your account, as shown below…
- Save 1,000,000 Bells and receive a Box of Tissues
- Save 10,000,000 Bells and receive a Piggy Bank
- Save 100,000,000 Bells and receive Pelly’s Pic
- Save 500,000,000 and receive Phyllis’s Pic
- Save 999,999,999 and receive a Town Hall Model
Town Hall Paper
Your savings account rewards, and monthly interest statements will be sent with a letter on special town hall stationery. These are the only way to see this style of stationery.
The Town Museum
You will find Blathers running the museum in town 24 hours a day. He is a night owl (literally) so you may find him catching some winks during daytime hours. Talk to him to make donations of bugs, fish and paintings, or to examine fossils you find. The museum holds several rooms to display different types of exhibits, and also includes an observatory and a café.
Donation
Blathers will take donations of anything the museum doesn’t already have. You can donate fish, insects, paintings (as long as they are not fakes) and fossils (once he has examined them). He will also share his vast knowledge of creatures and artifacts with you.
Check a Fossil
When you dig up a fossil you won’t know what it is until you have Blathers examine it. Once he has checked it out, he will tell you what type of fossil you found and perhaps give you the chance to donate it to the museum if it is the first specimen of its kind.
Getting Props for Your Discovery
If you donate a painting or a cockroach to the museum, the exhibit will credit you with the discovery. If you want to check what the museum has on display, talk to Blathers and choose Exhibits. You will see a list of all museum donations and donors.
