Pokemon Route 7 Riviere Walk
Your first visit to this scenic path is brief indeed, for a massive, snoozing Snorlax is blocking the bridge. Still, you can spend a little time cultivating berry trees at the southern farm. After you remove the Snorlax roadblock, you will find fighting and ground-type Pokemon very valuable while battling Route 7’s many trainers.
Step 1
Sprint west along Route 7, and it won’t be long before you run into the castle caretaker. The man needs a hand, for a monstrous Snorlax has fallen asleep right on Route 7’s bridge! The path is completely blocked, and only the Poke Flute will wake this snoozing Pokemon.
Step 2
The Poke Flute is kept at Parfum Palace, which lies beyond Route 6 to the north. Before you speed over there, take a moment to visit the berry fields to the south. The friendly farmer you find there needs help tending his fields!
Step 3
The berry farmer hands you five oran berries, five pecha berries and a watering tool called a Sprinklotad. You can simply plant the berries and water them if you like, or you can use the nearby composter to make mulch out of some of your berries first. Mulch can help your berry trees yield greater crops – or even surprising ones.
Step 4
After making some mulch, go ahead and start planting your berries. The first step is to spread mulch if you have made some. Mulch can help your berries grow, so it pays to use it. First inspect a patch of soft soil to spread the mulch, then plant a berry. Examine the soil afterward to see if it needs watering. Try to keep your soil nice and watered.
Step 5
Now that you have gotten your hands dirt in the berry fields, you had best hurry off to Parfum Palace. Travel north along Route 6 to get there. After you obtain the Poke Flute in Parfum Palace, return to this section and continue with the remaining steps.
Step 6
After you have retrieved the Poke Flute from Parfum Palace, return to the slumbering Snorlax. Hand the castle caretaker the Poke Flute, which only he can play. You will have to battle Snorlax after it wakes, so make sure your party is prepared.
Step 7
The Poke Flute does its work, but Snorlax isn’t happy about being awoken. You must battle the wild Snorlax to scare it off, or you may try to catch it with a Poke Ball. Be advised that Snorlax will greatly enhance its defences during the battle, making it tough to topple.
Step 8
With Snorlax out of the way, you are free to explore the rest of Route 7. The Pokemon Day Care is just ahead, and your friends Trevor and Tierno are excited to check it out.
Step 9
Join your friends inside the Pokemon Day Care and consider leaving a couple of Pokemon here to play. If you leave two Pokemon at the Pokemon Day Care together, sometimes a Pokemon egg will be found when you return to pick them up! Use the PC inside the Pokemon Day Care to access all of the Pokemon you have caught so far. The service isn’t free though, and you will have to pay when you pick your Pokemon up.
