There is nothing quite as infuriating as getting killed in Fortnite and then having to suffer the shame of watching your opponent dance a little jig of joy. Well, it is time to dish out some of the shame yourself!
This challenge is a toughy, as it requires you to do a little dance in a number of situations. You must dance when you land, dance when you dish out death and dance when you – of course – claim Victory Royale.
The more dancing you do, the more danger you are in, as other players might get a free shot at you when you are throwing shapes. Plus, they get audio clues that you are in the mood for a groove, as we will explain below.
So, reckon you can bust-a-move around the map? Then let’s get your groove on.
Fill your slots with dances
If you want to give yourself the maximum number of moves, you need to do a little work on your Locker before you enter battle.
There are six slots for emotes but emotes can cover anything from sprays to toys to emoticons. Get all six filled with dance emotes and then you have got a wide range f dance moves to choose from. Look out for dance emotes where your character flips or moves from side to side, as they will make it much harder for an enemy to land a shot.
Do enemies hear your dance music?
Yes! The audio range isn’t massive on dance emotes, but certainly if someone has landed nearby to you, they will probably hear you dancing.
This might lead you to consider a safer landing spot, as we will explain below.
Dance when you land
The first part of our challenge is doing a little dance wherever you may land. You must emote for a minimum of five seconds – or for however long your dance lasts – whichever is the shorter.
This might affect where you choose to land. If you are a gun-ho Tilted Towers fan, you might want to switch locations as doing a little jig in one of the busiest spots on the map is likely to earn you a quick bullet.
If you are landing on a rooftop, touch down towards the bottom of the sloped part of a roof, so that you get protections from the roof on one side.
Dance when you kill
The next step in this challenge is to do a little dance every time you kill another player. Normally, this is not too risky, as the other player is obviously out for the count. However, if there is more than one enemy in the area/battle, then you are going to put yourself at enormous risk.
That means you need to pick your battles carefully during this challenge. Try and eliminate enemies one at a time, as we want you to dance as soon as you have killed a player – you are not allowed to retreat to safety or build yourself a protective box before doing your dance.
Dance to escape death
The hardest part of all the sub-challenges is dancing to escape death. In other words, when someone is shooting at you, we want you to break into a dance and see if you can dodge their bullets by emoting.
This works best with dance emotes where the player is jigging around wildly, making you harder to shoot. Flippin’Sexy is a great emote for avoiding fire as the player backflips before lying on the ground. Time it right and the enemy might end up shooting at the empty space above you!
